Technical Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) Level 3
Completing the CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) qualification will show that you have been trained to the highest of standards, equipping you with the best early years training available. This suite of qualifications are now the must-have qualifications for all those wanting to work with children from birth to five years of age, and will provide you with a full and relevant qualifications, which in combination with GCSEs in English and Maths (at Grade C or above) leads to a licence to practise and the status of being an early years educator.
This Level 3 qualification provides you with Early Years Educator Status once a successful pass grade has been achieved. This qualification is designed to provide specialist work-related qualification in a range of sectors. It will give you the underpinning knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to prepare you for employment and the UCAS points necessary for University entry.
Course Themes include child development, play in early years settings, child protection, supporting children's communication and language, supporting children's personal, social and emotional development, collaboration with parents, colleagues and other professionals, diet and nutrition for children and positive environments for childrens’ care. You will learn through a mixture of classroom based teaching and practical hands-on sessions, using a variety of teaching methods. You will be encouraged and supported to work alongside peers in group activities and at times also be expected to work independently to complete assignment work that has been set.
Normally four GCSEs at grade C or above (which MUST include English, Maths and Science as applicable to the individual course), or an equivalent Level 2 qualification at a suitable grade.
Upon successful completion of this course students may progress onto higher level qualifications, such as Foundation Degrees, HNDs/HNCs or Honours Degree programmes in related subjects.
Students could apply for a range of university courses including primary and early years teaching, social work, teacher training, children and families, psychology and social policy. You can also use your qualification to go straight into employment.
