Level 2 Women’s and Men’s Hairdressing
Women’s and Men’s hairdressing is a fast moving fashion orientated business so you need to be creative and have artistic flair, enjoy meeting people and have a natural aptitude and plenty of energy.
We will also make sure you have the skills to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with clients and suppliers along with the number skills to run a business successfully.
Study modules will include advising and consulting with your clients, shampooing, conditioning and treating the hair and scalp, colouring and lightening, the art of dressing hair, cutting both women and men’s hair, perming and neutralising. Modules also cover health and safety, promoting additional products and services and reception skills.
Applicants are encouraged to already have a Level 1 qualification in Hairdressing or usually at least 4 GCSEs at grade E or above including Maths and English (new GCSE grading level 3) with Science desirable. Alternatively a suitable Level 1 vocational qualification with English and Maths at Level 1.
Students may wish to progress onto a Level 3 course in Hairdressing or into an Advanced Apprenticeship.
