Advanced Apprenticeship Environmental Conservation
This course consists of more advanced on-the-job training at your place of work with some College-based study. The Advanced Apprenticeship comprises the Work-Based Diploma at Level 3 plus functional skills.
This Work-Based Diploma includes practising and demonstrating a range of skills, which could include options such as surveying and reporting, preparing and delivering educational activities, organising and leading volunteer groups, producing site management plans, working with the local community, environmental good practice, planning environmental projects, communicating with and caring for the public.
Opportunities exist to take additional specialist qualifications, such as ATV training and brush cutter and chainsaw training, but charges may apply to the student or employer.
Students will normally require a Level 2 Apprenticeship or considerable work experience in a relevant field.
Successful students could progress on to degree level study, such as the Foundation Degree in Countryside Management and then on to the BSc Honours Top Up Degree.
