Intermediate Apprenticeship Animal Care

Overview

'On the Job' training at your place of work with some college study. Learners will undertake a Level 2 Work Based Diploma that brings together essential principles and knowledge with practical competence required in the industry.

Description

This course is for those working within the animal care industry and covers the following Feeding and correct handling of animals, Maintaining safe and effective working practices, Assisting with the care of animals, Establishing and maintaining animal accommodation, Promoting and maintaining the health and well-being of animals, Developing personal performance. Opportunities exist to take additional specialist qualifications, but charges may apply to the student or employer.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry qualifications. You need an appropriate work placement or employment. We may be able to help you to find a suitable position.

Further Study

Successful candidates may progress to higher levels of animal care study.
