Day Conferences and Meeting Rooms
We have a number of excellent facilities for day conferences and events which can facilitate any room set ups required for large or small groups. Nothing is too much trouble for us here at Newton Rigg. We are probably the best value venue in Penrith with plentiful free parking.
We have a dedicated Conference Centre with 5 rooms ranging in capacity from 16 to 150 theatre style. All rooms are equipped with ceiling mounted data projectors, screen, flip charts and pens. These are included in the room rates – no hidden extras.
All rooms have a water fountain.
Wi–Fi access is available in all rooms where a secure password is provided on arrival and laptops are available upon request.
Catering is delivered directly to all rooms when pre-ordered from the hospitality brochure.
The Eden and Caldbeck Rooms are situated on the ground floor with disabled access and toilets whilst the Eamont, Lowther and Ullswater Rooms are on the first floor and whilst we don’t have disabled access to these rooms we do provide additional toilets on the first floor.

The Eden Room is our largest most flexible room. Situated on the ground floor with its large sound system, stage and direct access to its own private garden it is regularly used for formal dinners and banquets as well as birthday parties and large training sessions.
* If available The Caldbeck Room may be provided complimentary for use as a breakout room and to provide lunch if your numbers exceed 100.
With a capacity of 60 people The Caldbeck Room is the perfect space for larger meetings and group work sessions. This is a large and airy adaptable ground floor space which is ideal for business meetings, training sessions and plenty more.
The Eamont room is our largest room upstairs and is ideal for delivering training sessions, first aid courses and meetings. The Eamont Room has lots of natural light with big windows overlooking our private Conference Centre garden.
The Lowther Room has a capacity of 24 so is ideal for intimate meetings and training courses. This is an upstairs room which has lots of natural light and a view of our private Conference Centre garden.
This is our smallest room upstairs and is ideal for intimate meetings and small training courses. The Ullswater Room has big windows with lots of natural light flooding through.
