Penrith Campus

Newton Rigg is one of the College's two residential campuses and is located just two miles from Penrith in Cumbria. Our other residential campus is in York, North Yorkshire. At Newton Rigg we offer a full range of subject areas and levels including: Apprenticeships to Foundation Entry Level through to Level 1-3 Diplomas.

Facilities at the campus include:

• Learning Resource Centre
• Gym, Sports Hall, Climbing Wall, High Ropes Course, Sports and 3G pitches
• Eden Boutique - commercial hairdressing and beauty salon with nail bar
• Newton Rigg and Sewborwens Farm (216 hectares) -  Lowland – dairy, beef and sheep, including a new £2.3m Dairy Unit 
• Low Beckside Farm, Mungrisdale (168 hectares)
• Extensive College woodlands (recreational and commercial)
• Engineering workshops and tractor driving/telehandler areas
• Pheasant and Partridge Shoot, Commercial grouse moor (off site), Deer Management Study Site with Rifle Range (off site)
• Educational gardens - including organic vegetable garden, range of ponds, glass houses and landscape design studio
• Floristry workshop
• Animal Unit - with livestock, animal and bird rooms, mock veterinary clinic and commercial grooming salon
• Equine centre with 20x60m indoor and outdoor arenas, indoor with gallery, two stable yards including facilities for learners to bring their own horse to College
• Science Labs
