The Edge in Cumbria - Funded Courses for Employers
The Edge is a Cumbria Local Enterprise Partnership project offering funded training to businesses and their employees so they can secure the skills they need for business growth. Newton Rigg College has teamed up with the Edge funding organisation to deliver a range of courses
The Edge is a £8.5 million Skills Support for the Workforce Project, funded by the European Social Fund and co-financed by the Skills Funding Agency, providing training opportunities with a focus on supporting workforce development with Cumbrian SMEs.
There is a strong focus on support to recruit apprentices and find training opportunities. The programme is being delivered by a range of partners, throughout the county, committed to developing skills in the workforce across Cumbria.
If your organisation is based in Cumbria and you have less than 250 employees then you are eligible for funding. Those self employed are also eligible for support.
Those accessing funded training must be aged 16+, be resident in England and working for more than 8 hours a week.

As a partner in the consortium Newton Rigg College offers fully funded training for businesses across the agriculture and land based sectors. We will provide your business with a Training Needs Analysis in order for you to review your whole business and identify areas for growth, support and development.
