Advanced Apprenticeship Plant Maintenance (Construction)

Overview

This course involves on-the-job training at your place of work with some College-based study which is scheduled throughout the year. These courses aim to give apprentices a wide range of engineering knowledge and understanding to help advance their career prospects.

Description

Course themes include bench fitting and basic engineering, technical advancements in electro-hydraulics, computerised control systems, advance service and maintenance procedures, diagnostic procedures and operational inspections, welding and fabrication in addition to employer rights and responsibilities. The Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship also includes functional skills (Level 2 English and Maths).

Entry Requirements

Normally a Level 2 Apprenticeship or considerable work experience in a relevant field.

Further Study

Upon successful completion of this course students could progress to a Degree in a relevant field or a management qualification.
