Level 3 CACHE Diploma for Specialist Teaching Assistants

Overview

This qualification is designed to build the knowledge and skills needed when working with children and young people from age 5 to 19. It covers a diverse range of job roles and occupational areas with specialist knowledge relating to the curriculum in schools.

Description

This course is suitable for anyone who works or wants to work with children and young people in education-related sectors. Course themes include understanding child development, keeping children and young people safe, communication with children and adults in a childcare setting, preparing and maintaining environments for childcare, professional development, role and responsibilities in childcare, implementing a duty of care.

Entry Requirements

This course is primarily aimed for adult learners, therefore entry requirements can be flexible. Learners aged 16 - 18 may be considered if they have a Level 2 qualification at a suitable grade.

Further Study

Upon successful completion of this course students may progress on to a higher level qualification such as Foundation Degree.
