This course will give you the practical capabilities and appreciation of business and event management to help drive this area of the industry forwards.

Description

The programme helps to develop a broad understanding of scientific, business and management concepts, knowledge and practical techniques which are standard features in a range of aspects of equine business management.

Entry Requirements

For admission to Foundation Degree courses (except Veterinary Nursing), students must have achieved grade C or above in a minimum of five GCSE subjects including English, Mathematics and Science or have passed suitable equivalents.  In addition, for admission onto FdSc programmes, students must have achieved a pass grade in a minimum of one ‘A2’ level subject (or equivalent) or have successfully completed an Extended/ National Diploma in a relevant subject area. Using the UCAS tariff system, a typical offer for admission to the FdSc would be a minimum 48 UCAS points*.

Some students will be invited to attend an interview at Askham Bryan College and places will be subject to a satisfactory reference. Equivalent qualifications may be considered.

Further Study

Students may progress onto the one-year Top Up route to the BSc (Hons) Degree Equine Business Management.
