City & Guilds NPTC Award in Accessing a Tree Using a Rope and Harness & Award in Aerial Tree Rescue

Description

This course is designed to prepare candidates to take their City & Guilds NPTC assessments in these 2 units. Achieving these awards will prove your competency to undertake these operations and will enable you to work in the relevant forestry and arboriculture sectors. Please note that due to the nature of these qualifications these qualifications would not be suitable for those who suffer from vertigo and a minimum level of fitness would be required to perform specific operations.

To pass these qualifications candidates need to successfully achieve all the following assessment activities:

Level 2 Award in Accessing a Tree Using a Rope and Harness

  • Be able to work safely
  • Be able to access a tree using a rope and harness
  • Know relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice
  • Know how to access a tree using a rope and harness

Level 3 Award in Aerial Tree Rescue Operations

  • Be able to promote health and safety and industry good practice
  • Be able to carry out aerial rescue operations
  • Understand relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice
  • Understand how to carry out aerial rescue operations
