16-18 Transport in Cumbria – latest information for new and returning students

Students continuing to study the same subject next year will continue to receive free transport from Cumbria County Council but need to apply again to the Integrated Transport Team at the county council on 01228 226008 or visit their website:

http://www.cumbria.gov.uk/childrensservices/educationandlearning/schools/schooltransport/default.asp

New students who are attending their nearest college, or have successfully applied for exceptional circumstances to attend the nearest college in the county which offers the subject they want, will be charged £350 by the county council for transport, unless they are eligible for free transport through their ‘Student Support Fund’.
